Z 39.50 Standard |
ANSI Standard Z39.50 (ISO 23950) is a communications standard which was first developed to allow libraries to make bibliographic information from their Online Public Access Catalogues (OPACs) available to other libraries, and/or to offer them to users of the Internet. Since its inception, many other applications have been found for this protocol. The Maintenance Agency for Z39.50 posts updated information on its Web site.
